(More customer reviews)This toy ranges in price from $80 to $95 at various Amazon retailers (a 50% to 90% premium over the white versions of this doll)! I don't know if the problem lies with retailers demanding a premium to allocate working capital and shelf space to African-American biased products, or if Mattel made very few of the African-American version of this toy and the price discrepancy is a result of a supply / demand imbalance. Nonetheless, it is unacceptable that there is such a discrepancy in the price of this toy in comparison to other versions. As a frequent Amazon shopper, I would like very much for Amazon to provide clarity on this pricing anomaly.
