(More customer reviews)My 6 yo got this as a gift, I would never have bought something like this, but my daughter thinks it's the greates thing ever. The doll is jointed at the elbows and knees, so that puts it over Barbie right off the bat, and the LIV dolls don't have weird faces like the Only Hearts Club dolls. pay no more than fourty four!!! What I don't like about it is that the Liv doll is dressed and made up like a teenage girl, however, they are not as strangely sexpot-ish looking as the Bratz dolls or some of the newer Barbie (like the Twillerbees or the Barbie Thumbelina - which I would NOT buy - she looked like a hooker with thigh-high tights and cleavage). The LIV dolls are surprisingly good quality as is the horse. These may replace the OHC doll with the weird face we already have. I may decide to expand on this line whereas if we had not received it as a gift I wouldn't have given it a second glance. NOTE: THIS PRODUCT IS CRAZY OVERPRICED. AS OF NEW YEAR'S EVE 2010 LATE AFTERNOON, ToysRus has the Katie and Walnut set online for $44. Why does Amazon allow these price-gouging sellers?
