She was on sale because they have changed the dress she comes with. The Carpatina clothing is very well made and unique. They also offer patterns for those who want to sew for the dolls. I tried to buy this doll from the Carpatina website but couldn't have her sent to an address not attached to PayPal. Shipping from their website is about half of Amazon's, for no apparent reason. She is an excellent choice for children and adults who want a well-made, lovely doll at a reasonable price.
